Can I host an Xbox One server on Linux...?

...Or do I need to actually host the server on another Xbox?

I'm an IT administrator... so setting up a Linux server as a dedicated ARK server is no issue for me, but my friends and I all play on the Xbox One... so my question as stated above is, do I have to host an Xbox One server on an Xbox One, or can I connect to a Linux ARK server on my Xbox?

I've been wondering this myself.

So far, I haven't seen anything that explicitly says one way or the other. However, since that is the case, I took that as a big fat no. I think it would make more sense to be able to have it both ways. I don't feel like having 2 XBOs just to be able to host a server and play on that server.

Any updates on this??? I've been trying to look into this as well. I can't imagine this being a hard feat. The official ark servers themselves have to run on something of that nature. Unless they have tons of Xbox ones in their server racks which would be hilarious lmao!

I'm waiting for an update on this matter myself. I'm pretty sure if they see a high demand for it they will do it, I don't see any cons just the pros.

So... Ive tried everything, but simply cannot host a "visible" Battlefield 1942 server...

Does anyone here know how I can successfully do this?
