resource spawning on dinos

i've had issues with rocks spawning on my dino's and i lose them in single player. i put down a feeding trough and put 4 raptors, 2 sabertooth and 3 dire wolfs around it, i was out farming titanoboa eggs and when i returned there was a rock next to the feeding trough where my dino's where standing, i broke the rock hoping the dinos would still be there but no luck, i lost 2 dire wolfs and a sabertooth
