Re: New Game Ideas
To piggy back off that:
New Humanoid NPC's: Neanderthal Tribes - they would build small thatch huts / settlements of maybe 5-10 that function on a primitive level of tech. They would harvest the basics to survive, wood, meat, fiber, stone, and thatch. Spawn rate of these type settlements would be as rare as the Alpha's currently in the game. When confronted outside of their settlement they would be evasive of players (laying prone, crouching, and observing) unless provoked. When confronted at their settlement they would warn players by grunting and shouting to show that its their territory and eventually attacking at full settlement strength if the player were to not heed their warning shouts. If a player or group of players were to construct in the Neanderthal territory the players would be wise to defend themselves during the night time from territorial attacks. Giving the game a more PvE structure that would allow players to raid/trade/capture these primitive humans.
Crouching and Prone that works : Allow players to hide from dinos via crouching and prone. Less sound emitted from a player whilst crouching and even more so when prone along with making your player less visible to the dino. Allow the creation of sent blocking agents (crafted from fecal matter from the specific dino you wish to hide / hunt). As we know crouching and going prone currently server no functional purpose unless pvping.
These elements would allow a player to hunt or escape being hunted and provide a more immersive experience.
Tribal/Jungle Armor: Lighter weight clothing based off of jungle attire that would not only keep the player much cooler during hot marshy or hot and humid jungle life but also add to the above mentioned idea. This would allow the player to be more hidden whilst crouched or prone to avoid being detected by dinos.
Just some minor suggestions.
