Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice when it comes to spec'ing my dedicated ARK server. Currently I have a Dell Precision 490 with the board capable of running dual Xeon Quads and I'm in the process of ordering some new components. Current specs are as follows:
Dell Precision 490
2x Xeon 5130 (2.0ghz, Dual Core)
4GB DDR2 ECC Ram PC2-5300 (4x1GB)
No video card at present (need to order one)
60GB SSD
Windows Server 10
Looking to upgrade to the following:
32GB DDR2 ECC Ram (8x4GB)
2x Dual Xeon 5365 (3.0ghz, Quad Core)
Second 60GB SSD (for Raid 0)
Nvidia GT 720 1GB (For basic video display)
Any opinions or input you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Re: ARK Server Help - Recommended Specs
I live in Argentina, and here a true server pc would cost 3 to 4 times what you guys pay at Amazon, or newegg.
I currently have an I5 3570k, 16 gb ram 1600, 512 SSD, Gtx 970 G2, Seasonic 850w Gold, and 1+1 Tb Black.
Internet Conection.

Should I be able to host a server and play in the same pc, if I upgrade to an I7 and buy 16 more gb?
Sorry for Hijacking your post, but there are only 2 un-official servers in argentina, once runs shitty as hell, and in the other one the admin eddits ppl :/
