Game crashing my video card when loading

Post by Turok » Mon Jun 08, 2015 1:51 pm

I have a Geforce GT 745M video card. The game crashes it every time I try to load. The drivers are up-to-date and from everything I've read it should be supported. Any ideas why this might be happening?

that even the higher end cards are having an issue. Maybe INVIDIA needs an update? Im about to ask for a refund because its getting annoying.

The game is in ALPHA. It is not optimized. This means, you have low fps, because for now, the devs haven't reduced the amount of drawcalls or what ever is causing all of this.

I run into 25-30 fps with my GTX970, but i have disabled AA and stuff like that (so only got textures, shadows etc on high-epic).
If you can't run it yet because of an old graphiccard, you need to wait till it is released or at least optimized.

It is still in ALPHA and you should know that you can't expect a game to run when you buy an alpha. This version is to help the Devs to find Bugs and get some money to keep developing.

Yop which is totaly ok, since you need to know that Early Access games aren't finished.
This is directly stated under the Purchase button. If you still buy the game to play it in
the Pre Alpha, you need to handle the bugs. Otherwise, wait till the games are fully released.

The early access is not for you to play a game that is working correctly. Iit is to help the
devs with some money and help them finding bugs. Deal with it.

I was having a similar issue where the game was "crashing" because of video memory, it was clearly not using all of my memory but it was fixed after I assigned a paging file (I had removed it previously due to using an SSD) and turning off windows resource exhaustion detection and resolution. To do the second part run gpedit.msc, navigate to computer configuration > administrative templates > system > troubleshooting and diagnostics > windows resource exhaustion detection then go to configure scenario execution level and in there set it to disabled. If you have not done anything page file related in the past it should still be enabled. A bit of a shot in the dark, hope it helps.
