Single Player?

I understand by now that Ark is a multiplayer game but why isn't there single player? Yes there's local but it has the same complicated settings and saving/loading system. If you reset your character to simply restart your upgrades because you realize you didn't want one thing or another and still get locked out of your own single player world...? Can't use the beds, doors, animals anything because you made a new character. If there was a single player section all the complicated multiplayer rules could be removed and make a simple single player session. In single player you'd still have access to change Ark Settings such as "Player Damage". It could even be set like the Minecraft worlds as you can change it to multiplayer of you want to show off your world to other people. Who else would like a single player that you could save, load and restart characters as you please?
