Leaellynasaurus dossier suggestion

Hi TheJaiganticBridge here and I have another dossier suggestion for the leaellynasaurus

Leaellynasaurus dossier

Common name: LEAELLY
Species: leaellynasaurus incibeatoast
Time period: Cretaceous
Diet: herbivore
Temperament: skittish

Wild
For unknown reasons, the dinos and egg laying animals of the island are lazy and will not take care and incubate their eggs, so a egg caring dinosaur called leaellynasaurus have gained the job of incubating fermented eggs for the parents. They build piles of compost that is efficient and has the right temperature, all dinos are passive to them when their caring for their egg and will even defend and fight for the leaellynasaurus's. But when the eggs hatch, they make a break for it and retreat for safety because they will make a delicious meal for new born carnivores.

Domesticated
Like oviraptors, they produce a gas with similar affects but instead of make eggs more often, make multiple fermented eggs at once, they will happily incubate the eggs for you so you can do other stuff. But they do have a disobedient side, stealing eggs from other dinos carriage bags and incubating it against your will, they will also try to hatch wild eggs which can cause serious fights between you and the parents. Something I was most disappointed in was that if you leave them with a unclaimed baby long enough then they will imprint on them and teach them the ways of leaellynasaurus, smallish dinos from raptors to dodos have a 50% chance of being a perfect or better leaellynasaurus.

If you like the idea than please post a comment for this and all of my other posts

Fermented, I think you mean Fertalized. Fermented means soured, rotten, putrid, ect.

I do agree with this idea though. It gets incredibly annoying trying to incubate even 1 delicate egg at a time. However I think this job would be better suited with an incubation device in the electric tech branch. Make it fairly expensive, but but excessively so with a way to set the exact temperature. Maybe implement some kind of forced evolution/mutation system in the future that involves you intentionally incubating eggs at the limits of its temperature thresholds, like incubating at low Temps will make the resulting creature be more resistant to cold, provide heat to the rider, and have more health? While at higher Temps would cause it to eat and drink less water, have more stanima and move faster?

Both ideas could work, and yes I meant fertilised. I like both ideas, the incubator could do much faster work than a leelly and a leelly would even collect the eggs for you so you don't have to put the eggs in the leelly and command that it will work, but a good thing about having an incubators is that it wound do Anthony behind you back as the leelly will, if you leave an unclaimed baby near a leelly to long than the leelly will clame it and teach it the way of the leelly, so when the eg raptor grows up like a leelly, than you can saddle it and it can be a great mount but also a great parent.

The second part, of making the child raised as a better parent would suggest implimentation of additional coding for each dino, and possibly quite an alteration of AI in that aspect. Especially if you go excessive with it and have 20 dinos running around taking care of everyone else's eggs (or thier own). Your "yard" would also be going wild with all the dinos getting hung up on each other, "hooked", or constantly getting in the way. Is it might look interesting having creatures similar to Compies shuffling about. Unless a significant amount of rework is done in regards to pathing, hit boxes, "hooking" issues, and actual intellegent pathing, the addition of the dino would be more time and effort then it's worth I'd imagine. The incubator would basically be something comparable in size to the refrigerator would a +/- dial on the top of the GUI and can be adjusted to the creature type you are incubating.

I see what you mean, I see how this "hooking" thing could be an issue, but it would still be cool to have a incubator dinosaur that's like a dilo size and does all the incubating stuff for you, it would be something that the public would not expect and surprising the public is something the ark does a good job at
