Building up an arsenal of dinos for the purpose of defending against alphas is just not something I have any interest in doing. For those who do, ok, enjoy. That's cool. But I don't.
So I'd like to have some level of confidence that when I put some time into building up a base it won't be destroyed.
If anyone has actually done the following (for Single Player) and seen it work, please let me know.
Put the following lines...

I found this text somewhere, but I honestly don't remember where. Otherwise, I'd give credit as due. So thanks whoever you were.

Also, I don't believe starting a new character would be necessary, but in that case, any alphas currently in world would remain until their deaths. Once again, if I am wrong, please let me know.

Ok, the above definitely does not work. I am missing something somewhere.
I used DestroyAll to get rid of everything after adding the above text to the WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini file. I had lost everything anyway so using DestroyWildDinos wasn't really necessary. I saw everything disappear (including the alpha), counters dropped to 0 and then immediately started climbing again. So I know DestroyAll did work.
Just got hit by another alpha. Lost 3 more dinos. Now I can destroy it again, but trying to train dinos is pointless if I can't keep them alive long enough to level them up a little. Just wasting time. And yes, I'm on the beach.
I would REALLY appreciate any advice on what I may be doing wrong. Please look at the original post and tell me what I'm missing!
