Advice on solo hunting

I'm a lvl23 in a small clan of 3-5 players, I've been building my skill tree for weapons, tools and taming (narcotics, etc) I'm usually the one that goes out and hunts for meet as my other clan members are more involved in building our settlement, I'm more or less chasing advice on how to recover meat quicker, I've been leaning towards taming a few raptors and having them as a "hunting party" but I'm really open to any other advice people have as of course I'm just a noob...
