Hi,
I've bought the preview on xbox1 and have been playing with a friend by selecting the local host- non dedicated local server option.
This does mean though that he can't log in to the world unless I start it. The other problem is that we are invisibly attached to each other- with me as the 'lead'. This is causing problems as I've accidentally killed him on a few occasions (once last night on our spiky fence when I ran for a drop! lol) and we can't go off and do our own thing as I 'drag' him behind me if I wander off too far.
I've got to lvl 26 now and he's about lvl 16.
Can you help me by suggesting a better play option?
I'm really not sure what to try, and I'm thinking whatever I do will probably mean starting over again (don't know?).
Any ideas to fix this would be much appreciated as I'm a total addict! lol But I don't want to go too far with these problems like they are, as it's a pain.
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks,
Debzy

Not sure if you need this answered still but its looking like you are going to need to start over if you want to be able to be farther than 200m apart. The invisible barrier you are referring to is the local host tether, a barrier that prevents all players from being any further than 200m from the host (at least in the Xbox one version). Currently the tether cannot be removed or even increased, so if you want to play in local play with your friend then you will need to remain within 200m of each other. However the simplest way to be able to go about your business without the tether is to join an official server, this way you can either play in PvP pr PvE and you can go as far away from each other as you want. just keep in mind that the official servers don't end when you log off, The world persists as well as the other people in it. The Devs have mentioned that in the future the tether may be increased but most likely not until the game comes out as the xbox version would need to be highly optimized.
