Fishing

As we all know sometimes with higher level dinos it can take quite a bit of time to tame. Even with kibble. I think fishing would be a great way to pass the time and also add some new items to craft and a new resource. Fish! I figure the basic one could be made of just wood fiber and maybe flint. And then have a higher lvl on which would look more like a modern day fishing pole and it could be made of metal, polymer, cementing paste and maybe some other stuff. The higher lvl fishing pole would be more effective at catching fish. I think it could work in a way that you equip it like you would any other tool/weapon and secondary attack could cast it and when it twitches (fish on the hook) primary attack could reel it in. By doing this you could add fish as a new resource which could possibly be used as a preference of food for aquatic dino taming. Also by placing on a campfire / industrial grill we could get cooked fish. I know this is alot additions and ideas but even if there is no new resource to collect I still believe just adding fishing for the sake of something to do passively during down time would be fun.

But why not go kill them in the water? Mabey this way you can get rare fish that you can't normally get, like an eel. Or you can only tame water creatures if you catch them first, and the rod is like a turret. It WOULD be cool if you hade to lure a meg in and catch it that way.

I agree with this, also possibly add other rare food ingredients to the list. Also possibly add Fish and Crab Traps? They'd function almost just like the Crop Plots, but you add meat and crabs and fish come to eat and get trapped? Item form critters only, not asking to add 20 new fish creatures swimming about, lol. Although a GIANT Alaskan King Crab of sorts as a Deep Sea Boss would be pretty awesome..... (making new post about giant crabs)
