first of all i would like to thank everyone of the Devs who worked so hard on the game and still do, thank you for your restless work and wonderful improvements/Maintenance to the game, you have made one of the greatest Survival games - even that its still in BETA - !!
Thank you also for listening to your players and fans, and taking creative ideas seriously, no matter who says it or when - this can simply become one of the greatest games and not just in the Survival Genre!
having all that said, i have a few questions about the game that i would truly appriciate getting the answers for (knowing that level 35 is as far as i have went in the game), which are:
- will there ever be any change to the height of the personal view camera ingame? it feels too close to the ground -knowing that im playing with a fairly normal sized survivor- yet i feel most of the time that im playing with a midget that grass can cover his full size.
- Are there any plans to Make an Upgrade option for the structures we build?
- will you add Half-Walls that can be used as fences? not too short to easily pass above it and also not too tall to block our view of whats behind it.
- will a proper in-game guide be provided when a new survivor is created? a form of quest line to go through the basics of the game and reward accordingly, to teach and support newbies and to also give a good start for any survivor "from the rewards of completing a certain quest line, which can reward basic helpful things to start with.
- its annoying how almost all players set their shelters close to a supply point (beam), to farm it and get the most of, will there be any added restrictions to at least ensure that who took one supply cart will not be able to recieve another one for a limited amount of time? to give a fair chance to everyother player on the server.
- Are there Pressure Plates in the game like the ones in Minecraft? to automatically open & close doors?
- the game is so fun in many ways, and building shelters is just amazing and brings out the creativity and hardwork to make masterpieces and land-marks - but it would be even more challenging if building a fortified shelter is needed to pass certain days in the game, (im on a PVE server cause i dont like the concept of PVP on survival games for many reasons), so the question is: could there be some days of each week (in-real time) that some certain kind of Dinos launch a massive attack on all the server? and areas closer to the obelisk would have stronger attacks than those on the edge of each island? to make sheltering and fortifying a neccessity for each player, and to challenge tribes to build closer to the obelisk to see if they would stand those attacks?
those Dinos should have:
a very wide aggro range and a smart PathFind AI that is aimed to take the easiest n best way possible to find and kill players - ex: attacking weaker walls to break through (which would never result in destroying a whole shelter but simply destroy as few objects as possible to reach their traget player. so later it can be easly rebuilt, unless the design of it was unproffessional which resulted in a bigger destruction than intended, then its not the problem of the AI, its the problem of the player who built it, so next time the player better be more prepared for it in a more proffessional way.
knowing that this could also encourage the joining and making of tribes in the game, so those who dont have the experience of preparing for such attacks can take cover behind those who know and learn from them.
and to even make it more challenging and entertaining, why not add to this idea that the closest tribe/allience shelter built to the obelisk shall recieve rewarding gifts that are destributed evenly among the tribe members (by the system, not by the tribe managers).
an Event like this will:
> Greatly support the making/joining of Tribes.
> would raise the need and usefulness of the Allience system between tribes on both PvP and PvE servers
> Greatly support the making/joining of Alliences between Tribes (if it was applied on PVE servers).
> Give the PVE servers the Thrill and joy of both Fortifying and defending their Shelters.
> Greatly support and Encourage teamwork even more.
> Wash up bodies of survivors that left the server, the Raging Dinos shall eat away their empty bodies
> push the non-hardcore survivors' shelters away from the obelisk and closer to the beaches
> challenge and motivate players to be creative in fortifying their shelters.
> and so much more....
thats pretty much it, thanks for reading and i will be looking forward to Your Replies.
Regards, Amr
