Hey guys! I play ark daily, well, played ark daily. I haven't been able to get into my server or any server for the past two weeks. I have tried everything to get past this bug if it is a bug. Lets see if you can help me!
I used to be able to join at anytime no issue at all. I went out of town two weekend's ago and came home Sunday night, loaded up ark, and it stated, " can not retreive address." I was mortified! My lol progression, my items, everything will be screwed if I don't get back in! I'm sure I'm probably caged by now, fml.
So I went to google. I have tried every little bit of information to get past this. I have tried, going offline and back on, deleting my cashe, deleting my Mac thing, deleting the game and all saved data and reinstalling it, checked my router and my nat, both good and open, called my internet company to make sure my ports were still open, which they are. I've tried factory reseting my Xbox one. I've tired just unpluging my Xbox and waiting and pushing the power button 3 or 4 times. I have Even wrote support and they can't help me. I've done all they have suggested. And nothing, absolutely nothing. Constant "can't retrieve address." If I spam the Join button it crashes the game.
So any help, ideas, or how to fix this crap would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get back to my server and play how I used to. Ark withdrawals are real. Thanks again for taking the time to help!
