Server Hosting Bandwidth

Post by Knox » Mon Jul 13, 2015 2:07 pm

I am considering bringing up a public server, and I am curious how much bandwidth might be consumed for a 100 players server. Does anyone have any stats I could use to come up with that number?

60 Kbps per player, so if you had 100 players constantly on the server, here's the numbers:

In game it says 60KBps not Kbps and has no one posted logs of BW for a high pop server to get a real idea of the demand?

There has to be lows and highs so what are the peaks and averages. I personally won't trust a game options setting say 60KBps for getting a real idea of the needed BW Natural Selection 2 requires 25 KBps but it can peak 200 KBps for 10 seconds on beacons because it is trying to download 8 MBs of data because of entities.
