I agree that some form if torpor inducing turret would be a great asset to add. The biggest problem I can foresee with them would be targeting ai. Better yet, utilize a percentage scale for upgrade ep cost. It should cost more to permanently upgrade flak armor than cloth or hide. A player who can make masterwork bows from scratch should've paid at least 25ep for the ability, perhaps more.

Not a bad suggestion, but make it cost 1ep to absorb per level of blueprint difference. Meaning, if your current engram is at base (primitive) level, learning a ramshackle costs 1ep for that engram upgrade.
